Robert Leslie Wonsetler II was born July 3, 1976, in Richmond, Indiana.
He passed away January 12, 2019, in an auto accident in Hancock County, Indiana, at the age of 42.
Rob graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Biochemistry.
He attended graduate school at the University of Minnesota and studied molecular biochemistry.
Rob was employed as a research scientist at Biovascular in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and also at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Most recently, Rob became a regional broker of Persian carpets and antiquities. He was a volunteer tennis coach for the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams at Lincoln High School where he enjoyed mentoring the young students.
Rob attended and was active in the worship service at the First United Methodist Church in Cambridge City.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Leslie and Elizabeth (Kellam) Wonsetler and a sister, Judy Stewart, who loved him very much. His memory will be cherished by a large family of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Calling and services will be conducted at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel on Thursday, January 17, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m., with service to follow immediately.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Mission Fund at the First United Methodist Church in Cambridge City.
