Robert Lee “Red” Robbins, 92, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Reid Health.
He was born in Randolph County on December 1, 1925 to Ernest and Marie (Worley) Robbins and lived most of his life in the Lynn area. He was a retired farmer with a love for his Lord, his family and all things John Deere.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rosemary (Phillips) Robbins; seven children, Leanna Miller (Richard) of Tennessee, Christopher Robbins (Vicki) of Lynn, Jeff Robbins of Lynn, Diana VaMiddlesworth (Gary) of Greencastle, Dana Deakins of Richmond, Brad Taylor of Richmond, and Delaine (Eric) Nixon of Tucson, 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; two brothers, Mardel Robbins (Bette) of Winchester and Gene Robbins (Anna) of Dunellon, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Marie Robbins, and his first wife, Norma Robbins.
Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 PM on Friday, September 21, at Spartanburg United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 12:00 PM. Pastor Keith Maley will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Centerville.
