Samuel Lee McIntyre, 80, of Connersville, passed away Thursday afternoon May 5th, 2022 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He had been a resident at Heritage House for the past two years.

He was born September 5th, 1941 in Dallas County, Alabama, one of ten children of Albert and Dora Lee Crumpton McIntyre.

On March 15th, 1969 he was married in Connersville to Evelyn Lee Craig. Mrs. McIntyre survives.

For 25 years, he was employed at the local Ford Plant as Supervisor.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee and was a member of the choir. He was a member of the Liberty Country Club, Connersville Kiwanis Club, and Esquire Club.

An avid golfer, he also enjoyed bowling and playing card games.

Survivors besides his wife include two children, Samuel Lee McIntyre, Jr. and wife Jessica of Arizona and Kathryn McIntyre of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Kendall, Sakaia, and Kade; a number of nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, James Robinson, Sr.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Craig and Charlene Wilson; and two brothers-in-law, Ralph King and Walker Wilson.

Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Alex Fahie at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12th. 2022 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home where friends may call from noon until the time of the service.
