Scot A. Weisheit, 52, formerly of New Castle passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born December 17, 1966, in New Castle to Ben and Sharon (Selvy) Weisheit.

Growing up with spina bifida, Scot didn’t allow that to slow him down. He was a 1987 graduate of New Castle High School, where he was known for his witty sense of humor and wonderful personality. Scot married Cheryl Farrow and was married for five years before her passing. He enjoyed attending Camp Isanogel in Muncie, where he met many friends. He enjoyed working on his computer, watching movies, listening to music and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

Survivors include his parents, Ben and Sharon Weisheit; brother, Greg Weisheit all of Hagerstown; aunts, Linda Joines of Tipton, Diane (Kerry) Moncrief, Karolyn Gregory both of New Castle; cousins, Peggy Weisheit, Pam (Dale) Armstrong, Penny (Lyle) Stevens, Mark (Jenny) Joines, Pete (Karen) Joines, Heather Joines, Andrea Joines and Shannon (Jim) Cable.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ted and Gertrude Weisheit; maternal great-grandparents, John and Cora Selvy.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Dr. Phil Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Cemetery near Hagerstown.
