Sharon A. Barker age 72, passed away at Reid Health on December 20, 2017. She was born on January 11, 1945 to Elnora McPherson in Hagerstown, Indiana.
Sharon had lived in the Wayne County area all of her life. She started a career at Walmart at the age of 56, being a door greeter. She enjoyed reading, going to the public library and she loved all animals.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons: Kevin (Nancy) Rogers and Trent Barker; four grandchildren: Kyra Barker, Drew Rogers, Keena Barker and Ellie Rogers; niece: Juli Jenkins; and longtime friend: Greg DeHaven.
Besides her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband: Ernest Pete Barker; sister: Nancy Jenkins; and nephew: Darin Jenkins.
A public visitation was held at the Community Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Following cremation, burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
