Sharon “Jo” Garrett, 75, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born April 3, 1945 in Albany, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luther and Dora (Pennycuff) Agee.

Sharon was a happy go lucky, dependable person that never met a stranger. She owned and operated the Gold Dust Saloon in Static, TN for 20 years. She was an avid BINGO player and loved to travel. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Joanna (Roy) Goens of Kodak, Tennessee, Scottie Ray Massengale of Albany, Kentucky, and Amy Davis of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jessica (Eric) Oakley of Robbins, TN and Joshua Crawford of Albany, KY; three great granddaughters, Ashlyn, Lexi, & Kenzie; sister, Janet Barns of Mt. Summit; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Bates, Lana Bennett and Zora VanArsdale; and three brothers, Earnest, Edward and David Agee.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Charles Dugger officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
