Sherry L. Marchbanks, age 52, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her home.

Born January 6, 1966, in New Castle, Indiana, to James and Connie Colvin Wine Sr., Sherry lived in this community most of her life. She was a 1984 graduate of Lincoln High School and earned a bachelor’s of science degree from IUPUI. Sherry worked with troubled children at a resource treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was not only dedicated to her job, but cared deeply for the kids she took care of. Sherry was a 30 year member of the Moose and had formerly served as Deputy Grand Regent. She was a current member of Speedway Chapter WOTM #518.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Marchbanks of Indianapolis; daughter, Samantha Marchbanks of Indianapolis; mother and dad, Connie and Ed Hobson of Richmond; stepdaughter, Talema Gray of Alexandria, Indiana; stepson, Christopher (Glenda) Gray of Anderson, Indiana; step-grandchildren, Makalea, Michael, Shay, Cameron, Brianna, and Dalton; sister, Cindy (Jack) Lane of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brother, James (Leslie) Wine Jr. of Georgia; stepsister, Angie (Reggie) Bryant of Richmond; stepbrother, Michael (Amanda) Hobson of Valparaiso, Indiana; grandmother, Mary Colvin of Evansville, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Gray; father; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents.

Visitation for Sherry L. Marchbanks will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond with a Women of the Moose service at 7:00 p.m Funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Dale officiating. A private burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
