Thurleen D. Millsaps, age 86, of Centerville, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Ambassador Healthcare.
Born January 5, 1935, in Springfield, Ohio, to Carl and Mildred Mumaw Miller, Thurleen lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of her life. She was a 1952 graduate of Centerville High School. Thurleen retired from Cox’s Supermarket, where she worked for more than 30 years. Thurleen was a member of Bethesda Worship Center. She was also actively involved at the Richmond Senior Community Center. Thurleen enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include her sons, Howard (Jennifer) Millsaps of Centerville, Jeff (Tonya) Millsaps of Richmond, and Gerald (Janyce) Millsaps of Centerville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Phillips of Florida; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Hugh K. Millsaps, who died September 1, 1997; granddaughter, Natashia Shay; and parents.
Visitation for Thurleen D. Millsaps will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Kendal Harris officiating. Burial will be in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
