Tressie Marie Boulware, 81, of Connersville, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, surrounded by her family at home.
She was born on January 10, 1936, in Rush County, Indiana, and is the daughter of Robert Harold Bergen and Clara Leatha Cooksey Bergen, both of whom preceded her in death.
She graduated from Orange High School in 1954. On August 7, 1954, she married Paul E. Boulware in Connersville. Together they were able to share 36 years before he passed on July 21, 1990.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #346.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery (Kim) Boulware; two daughters-in-law, Diane Boulware and Karen Lippincott; three brothers, Dale (Kiyoko) Bergen, of Chula Vista, CA, Thomas (Rhea) Bergen, of Martinsville, IN, Clarence (Jane) Bergen, of Connersville; one sister, Thelma Allen, of Ohio; a sister-in-law, Delores Boulware; two brothers-in-law, David Foreman and Roy Shook; eight grandchildren, Brad Boulware, Katie Boulware, Casey Ford, Ryan, Adam and Eric Boulware, Cassi Boulware, and Mercadi Duffin; seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Marty and Chuck Boulware; three brothers, Paul Bergen, Lowell Edward, and Kenneth Bergen, and three sisters, Mary Owens, Rebecca Foreman, and Valetta Shook.
Funeral services for Tressie will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 11:00am at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville, with Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, October 13 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Connersville Chapter 346 Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service on Friday evening at 7:00pm at the funeral home.
