Veronica Jay-Ceen Bell English passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born in New Castle, Indiana on March 12, 1990.
Around the age of 4, Veronica and her mother moved to Muncie, Indiana. She resided in Muncie for several years before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana with her mother and siblings. While living in Indianapolis, she attended Amy Beverland and Mary Castle Elementary Schools, IndyPendence Job Corp and Arlington High School where she was enrolled in Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). She obtained her General Education Diploma and also received her certification as a Home Health Care Aide in 2021.
Veronica worked at several jobs in Indianapolis including Popeye’s, White Castle, Speedway, and several factory jobs. Earlier this year she became an entrepreneur and started her own cleaning service – Vee Vee’s Cleaning until hired at Carrier Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration. According to many of her friends, this was a job she really enjoyed.
Veronica leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Anthony, age 14, Derek, age 13, JayShawn, age 10, and LaRonn, age 8, all of Indianapolis; her mother, Nicole English-Davis and grandmother, Judy C. English, both of Indianapolis; three siblings, Braxton Anthony of Franklin, Indiana, Kanisha Davis and Derek Davis, both of Muncie; her step-father, Willie Davis, also of Muncie; two nieces, Aleighna and Cainen Anthony of Franklin, In; one nephew, Kh’lani Gaines of Muncie, Indiana; special aunts and cousins, Phyllis Cosby, Margaret “Chicken” Smith, Bruce and Teresa Smith all of New Castle, and Camille English of Kentucky; special friends, Darrin, Twan, Karen, Nicole, Brianna, Brittany, Marlon, Regina, Shamika and “Snooty” and so many more that belong to the “village,” some known and unknown, but the list is never-ending. The family apologizes if your name is not mentioned.
Veronica’s “families” thank you for being in her life, watching out for her and loving her. Please continue to pray, especially for her children but also her entire family.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Universal Church of Truth, 1927 E 32nd. St., Indianapolis, IN 46218. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m., until service time at the church.
