Veronica Kay (Edmonds) Burpo, 73, a resident of Clayton and formerly of Hagerstown Passed away Sunday, November18, 2018 at Hendricks County Rehab Center following an extended illness. She was born July 19, 1945 in New Castle to the late Cecil and Alberta (Love) Edmonds.
Veronica retired from Dana Corp. after ten years of service. She was a member of the Williamsburg Home Ec Club and was affiliated with the Friends Church. Veronica enjoyed reading, genealogy and collecting various items. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Dean Burpo; two daughters: Cecilia (Rich) Murray of Richmond and Tiffany Poole (Terry Salow) of Clayton; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; four brothers: Joe (Hazel) Edmonds of Losantville, Nate (Becky) Edmonds of Deerfield, Gary (Ellen) Edmonds of Muncie and Johnny (Marilyn) Edmonds of Richmond; a brother-in-law, Richard (Cornelia) Ellis of Hagerstown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Raviena (Bill) McNabb.
Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Culberson Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Scalf officiating. Friends may call from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Veronica Burpo Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
