Two informational programs planned to help veterans and their families have been canceled.

Programs set for Tuesday, March 10 at Richmond Senior Center and on April 14 at Golay Community Center in Cambridge City will not take place.

They were being planned by the Veterans Stakeholders Committee, a volunteer group affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Richmond.

However, VA officials instructed the volunteers Monday to cancel all outreach programs for March and April because of the coronavirus situation.

Instead, veterans or their families can contact their local veterans service officer for information. Wayne County’s service officer is at (765) 973-9207 at Wayne County Annex Building. Or visit va.gov or call (800) 827-1000.
