Walter J. Stubeda, age 95, passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at Arbor Trace.

He was born in Bucks County Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1927 to John and Helen Stubeda. Walter served his country honorably in the United States Army and had served in the Korean War. He earned his engineering degree from the Drexel Institute and worked at Philco Ford in Philadelphia before transferring to Connersville Ford in November 1965. He was a longtime member of the Elks, enjoyed golfing, dancing to big band music and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Barbara; children Pat (Thomas) Simpson, Sharon Hoy, Mike Stubeda, David (Anna) Stubeda and James Stubeda, James A. (Glenda) Shaw, Carol Shaw Bertram; brother John (Delores) Stubeda; grandchildren Amy Kern, Anji Holthouse, Marc Holthouse, TJ Simpson, Cheri (Scott) Johnston, Christy (Ty) Schroeder, Les (Tara) Hoy, Matt (Kelsey) Hoy, Jessica Hoy Kimbel, Sarah (Jared) Walter, DJ Stubeda, Aaron Stubeda, Brian (Annie) Shaw, Justin Shaw, Jacob (Elizabeth) Shaw, Chris Bertram, Beth (Ryan) Wagers; 30 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Walter is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his five children Margaret Stubeda; sister Helen Edwards and her husband Bill; granddaughter Misty Dawn Stubeda; son-in-law Les Hoy; stepson Gary Shaw and stepson-in-law Roger Bertram.

Services for Walter will be held on Saturday July 30, 2022, at 11:30 a.m.at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary with an entombment to follow at Earlham Cemetery Mausoleum. Pastors Darrell Kepler and Martin Holman will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 30, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary.
