Walter James Galloway, 83, of Connersville passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Walter was born January 27, 1938 in Gibson County, Indiana, the son of Walter James and Ida L. Reel Galloway.

A veteran, he served in the United States Army as a paratrooper.

Walter came to Connersville where he was employed at Visteon and its successors. He was in methods and costing with 36 years of service.

On June 23, 1984, he was married to Alma June May by Reverend Kenneth Chandler at the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Galloway survives.

Walter was a devoted member of the Everton Southern Baptist Church where he served as the financial officer.

In his leisure, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors, besides his wife of 37 years, Alma Galloway, include four children, Richard L. (Vanh) Galloway of Richmond, Jim Galloway of Straughn, Indiana, Tim (Janet) Faber of Connersville, and Kimberly (Phillip) Hamilton of Falmouth, Indiana; six grandchildren, Joanna Lee Galloway, Joseph Luke Galloway, Colleen (Dakota) Huntsman, and Tiffany Marie (Tyler) Martin, all of Connersville, Ginine (Sean) Klemme of Avon, Indiana, and Brittney Dawn Faber of Cincinnati; and five great-grandchildren, Thatcher Klemme, Aurora Huntsman, Lillian Faber, Tailyn Duff, and Thea Duff.

Besides his parents, Walter is preceded in death by a son, William Galloway, and a granddaughter, Mandy Jo Faber Hamilton.

Private funeral services with military honors conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council will be held at Lick Creek Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
