A Wayne County food manufacturer intends to invest $9 million and create 34 new full-time jobs paying an average hourly wage of $22 within three years.
The former Wayne Dairy, which has become SmithFoods Richmond Inc., a division of SmithFoods Inc., plans to expand by adding a new production line.
The jobs are to be added at the company’s Richmond plant, 1590 N.W. 11th St.
