Willard Evans, 93, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Jan. 8, 2019. He was born November 27, 1925, in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Richard and Rutha Jane Evans.
Willard joined the Marine Corps in 1944 and received an honorable discharge in 1946. He was employed at Wayne Works, where he retired after 40 years. He had a love for fishing, hunting, bowling, softball, basketball, trap shooting and pitching horseshoes. He will be missed by his entire family; his North 14th Street family and majority of the North End.
Willard is survived by his daughter: Pamala Evans; sons: Greg Evans and Harold “Taz” (Beth) Evans; sisters: Wilberta Steele and June Cunningham; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse: Billie Evans; his sons: Larry, Dean and Rodney Evans; brothers: Paul and Floyd Evans and his sister: Connie Johnson.

Family and friends may call on Saturday January 12, 2019, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., with a service to follow at Community Family Funeral Home, 101 W. Main St., Richmond. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
