WEBSTER, Ind. – William Thomas “Tom” Harrison, age 53, of Webster, Indiana, died Sunday, August 20, 2017, at his home.
Born January 23, 1964, in Richmond, Indiana, to William Oakley “Bill” and Mary Carolyn “Carol” Owens Harrison, Tom was a life-long resident of Wayne County.
He was a mechanic his whole life and worked at Cates Auto Service, Inc. for 33 years. Tom was a member of Living Faith Church of God. He loved hunting, being in the outdoors, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Wanda Mae Howard Harrison of Webster; children, Tommy (Ashley) Harrison of Centerville, Indiana, Shaun (Brittany) Harrison of New Castle, Indiana, Todd (Destiney) Harrison of Muncie, Indiana, and Julie (Vincent) Slinker of Richmond, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Paul Harrison of Richmond, Teresa Wilson of Florida, Larry (Debbie) Harrison of Richmond, and Donald (Stephanie) Harrison of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins, including Jimmy (Candace) Creech and Mike Creech, both of California; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for William Thomas “Tom” Harrison will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Henderson officiating.
Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
