Wilma Jean Stone, 86, passed away Monday morning May 14, 2018, at Premier Healthcare in Sheridan.
She has been a resident there since 2010. A daughter of the late Loyd Eugene and Mary Pauline (Lannerd) Culy, Wilma was born in Wayne County, Indiana, on May 9, 1932.
A lifelong resident of Western Wayne County, she graduated from Cambridge City High School with the class of 1950.
Wilma was a homemaker and had worked at Becker’s Greenhouse. As a young adult she was a member of the Zion’s Lutheran Church in Pershing.
Survivors include 2 sons, Paul Samuel (wife Kim) Stone of Florida and Daniel Eugene (wife Peggy) Stone of Sheridan; 4 granddaughters, Stacy Grimes, Amy Casey, Holly Todish and Betsy Slone; 10 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Marilyn Saarinen.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stone on May 7, 2006. They were married on July 30, 1950; 1 grandson, David Eugene Stone; 1 sister, Elaine Kremer.
Visitation was Thursday May 17 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Following cremation, a private committal service took place at Zion’s Cemetery in Pershing.
