Wilma Lee Rowe, 76, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2016. Wilma was born on August 8, 1940 in Wayne County, IN to Paul and Beulah Worl. She was the youngest of three girls. Wilma grew up in rural Wayne County and was a 1958 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She loved children and was a foster mom for 17 babies. She cared for them from birth to adoption.
She retired from Walker Research in 2000, having served as the manager of the Data Entry Department.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 59 years, Phillip; her three children, Terry Lee (Danny) Bradley, Donald (Cathy) Rowe and Bradley (Cindy) Rowe; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may gather on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 2:00 pm until the start of her memorial service at 3:00 pm at 1st United Methodist Church in Hagerstown. Rev. John Huff will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Brick Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City.
