Windle “Levi” Shelton, 90, a resident of New Castle passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2022 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. He was born September 6, 1931 in Albany, Kentucky, a son of the late Stanley and Cora (Jones) Shelton.

Levi retired from Draper Corporation in 1995 and Sears & Roebuck Company in 1981. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Levi enjoyed hunting, fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Levi is survived by a son, Rick (Sandra K.) Shelton of Lebanon, Tennessee; a daughter, Nancy (Terrell) Jackson of New Castle; grandchildren, Marc (Sarah) Shelton of Fishers, Brent (Elaine) Shelton of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Eric (Michelle) Jackson of New Castle, Tara (Dan) Smith of New Castle and Amy (Chris) Johnson of Lebanon, Tennessee; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Oma Johnson of New Castle and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, Levi was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Martha Bernice Shelton on October 3, 2021; an infant son, John Timothy and siblings, Robert Shelton, Donna Gross, Lucille Willen and Eva Brewster.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with his son, Rev. Rick Shelton officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brick Cemetery in Hagerstown.
